Next Wednesday, April 10th, we’ll be watching Contact (1997) directed by Robert Zemeckis, based on the 1985 novel by Carl Sagan. The movie follows Dr. Eleanor Arroway who finds evidence of alien life and is chosen to make the first contact.

ASMR inducing cosmic questing by the most beautifullest smartest STEM mommy played by Jodie Foster whose charisma is just blazing . . . served up through 90s hollywood americana campy quippy earnesty. I am someone who has always had a hard time staying focused on ideas about space but this zealous space movie snatched me up through my regular smokescreen of ambivalence about what lies beyond our atmosphere. Aliens?? God?? uwu.. It's based on the novel by Carl Sagan and Ann Druyan which itself was a collaboration of genius collision love.... really makes you feel alive <3
