1/20 - Julien Donkey-Boy
Tomorrow (1/20) we’ll be screening Julien Donkey-Boy from 1999, directed by Harmony Korine and starring Ewen Bremner, Chloë Sevigny, and Werner Herzog.
This film is part of our January screenings chosen by friend of the studio Connor Barrett:
Harmony Korine's second feature, Julien Donkey-Boy, is not only his only Dogme-95 film but the first American Dogme-95 film. It is my personal favorite and features one of the most unique photographic processes which involved capturing on Mini DV and transferring onto 8mm film before being blown up to 35mm using an optical printer.
Julien Donkey-Boy will be playing at the Working Room at 7:30 PM tomorrow (January 20). This is the last in the January series of movies picked by Connor — thank you Connor!
RSVP is not required, but always appreciated. Email me if you need the address! PS: For those who haven’t joined for the more informal screenings, while we have chairs, most people choose to bring blankets and pillows to watch slumber party style on the floor.
